New children’s playground and the great Playset “The Yeti” in Calahorra

The Plaza Monasterio de Yuso in Calahorra has inaugurated a renovated children’s playground equipped with innovative, adapted, and safe play equipment from the playground manufacturer Industrias Agapito. The City Council aimed to bring a new vibe to the park by equipping it with various types of playsets, including inclusive ones, where the main attraction is a Gigant Themed Playset.

The Yeti Gigant Tower by Industrias Agapito is the heart of this new playground. This impressive structure combines multiple activities in one playset, allowing children to climb, slide, and explore through different levels and obstacles. With a design inspired by the mythical snow creature, the Yeti not only offers fun but also an attractive and thematic aesthetic that stimulates children’s imagination.

On the lower level, it features a crawling tunnel called “the Yeti finger,” a conversation bench, interactive games with sliding pieces to exercise fine motor skills, a height measuring game, and a word search panel with a “Yeti” theme. The body of the Yeti transforms into a tower nearly 7 meters tall with two giant grotto slides where the most adventurous can slide and enjoy without limits.

In addition to the Yeti, there are other playsets designed especially for children with different abilities. Two spring riders have been installed, the Handicapped-Ready Spooky Fluffy Spring Rider, which is as fun as it is safe. It has a wide seat with a backrest and handholds that facilitate stability and use by children with disabilities, and it is easily accessible from wheelchairs and completely safe. Another is the World Spring Rider with a capacity for four seats, allowing greater interaction among children and encouraging group play.

From the fun Spooky Monster Series, the Spooky Clumsy Mixed Swing with a flat seat and a completely safe baby seat, and the Clumsy Spooky Nest Swing designed for use by children with different abilities and collective use have been installed. The swing manufactured by Industrias Agapito is certified under the European standard UNE EN 1176.

The park is completed with other playsets such as the Mountain-Climber, which, thanks to its different access design, promotes psychomotor skills among children. The Seesaw Bubbles, designed for paired play, promotes balance and communication between kids. Lastly, the Flying Carousel, also designed for use by children with reduced mobility, encourages group play and cooperation among peers to enjoy and maintain a comfortable speed for everyone.

The inauguration of this playground has been enthusiastically received by Calahorra residents. The city’s families now have a new meeting point where children can play safely while parents enjoy the peace of mind knowing their kids are in a well-designed and safe environment.
