Climbing wall and parkour all in one, a sports novelty in Tudela (Navarra)

INDUSTRIAS AGAPITO has comprehensively executed a new area with parkour and climbing wall, having carried out the previous civil works and the installation of a continuous floor for total safety of use in this sports area.

The Paseo de Queiles, in Tudela, Navarra, now has a new sports space designed mainly to promote the most in-demand sports practices today and which can also be done outdoors and for free: parkour and wall climbing. Two fashionable sports disciplines in which strength and balance are the main work tools.

INDUSTRIAS AGAPITO has been the company awarded the contract for the execution of the concrete slab, the rubber pavement and the installation of the parkour equipment and the climbing wall module.

Parkour is a sports discipline that was born in the street, where its practitioners, called Traceurs, train in the areas that provide the most play to perform their movements. The discipline has its origins deeply rooted: street training, since it is part of its identity sign along with its accessibility to everyone, since you only need a pair of sneakers to practice it.

These characteristics demonstrate that parkour is more of a social movement of integration than a sport in itself.

Parkour is a non-competitive sport that allows you to work on the strength and skill of body movements using different equipment. In Tudela, several jumping platforms, precision walls, fluidity walls and arm walls have been installed. The objective is to move the entire body through exercises on the different devices. The Parkour elements of Industrias Agapito have been certified under the demanding European Regulation EN16899.
To complete the Parkour area, a climbing wall has been installed where users can climb safely and work on their strength and dexterity. Both disciplines are especially indicated for working on physical strength, flexibility, agility and coordination.

Promoting outdoor sports and meeting current demands, in relation to sports practices among the youngest, is not easy. For this reason, there are many municipalities that, like the Tudela City Council, seek to incorporate fashionable sports elements into their recreational areas. In this case INDUSTRIAS AGAPITO has been in charge of fulfilling the City Council’s objective with the installation of Parkour products and the Climbing Wall.
