Installation of an inclusive playground
Adapted playgrounds guarantee inclusion during playtime. Fun, safety and, color for the little ones
All children, regardless of their physical condition, have the right to play. Fulfilling this right is possible with inclusive playgrounds. Thanks to playgrounds adapted for children with limited mobility, they can also enjoy safe and fun play spaces.
Our inclusive playgrounds include adapted play equipment, certified under the European safety standard EN-1176, which guarantees the safety of playground equipment so that children with disabilities can use them. An inclusive playground is ideal to promote integration and interaction among children.
Inclusive playground equipment
There is different playground equipment adapted to promote inclusion and the use of playgrounds by children with reduced mobility. These are the different elements that form this inclusive playground:
The inclusive playset includes different adapted games that are accessible to children with wheelchairs. It features a ramp, wide spaces, and various accessible areas that facilitate access to the different parts of the playground. This inclusive playground incorporates an inclusive slide designed with a much wider ramp than regular pones to allows its use and enjoyment by children with reduced mobility.
Another adapted element found in this inclusive playground is the pirate ship, a fun themed space with several play areas: gathering areas with seats and tables, an elevated platform, photocall, lookout tower, or mobile ramp. The snow-board spring rider is also part of this inclusive playground. It has a surface with a non-slip rubber coating so that children with different abilities can use it safely and have fun.
The adapted playground is also equipped with an integration swing, which has an adapted swing seat for children with disabilities and a mixed swing with a flat rubber seat and a baby seat.
It is possible to create play areas accessible to all children thanks to adapted playgrounds, which are being installed in more and more communities. An inclusive playground is not only beneficial for children with reduced mobility, but also for their parents and the whole community as it encourages integration.
Discover all the options we offer in our integration playground catalog to design an adapted playground with fun themes and systems designed for safety, integration, and fun.
