Industrias Agapito Completes the Installation of 36 Calisthenics Parks in Mallorca

Industrias Agapito has successfully completed the installation of 36 calisthenics parks in 24 municipalities across Mallorca, as part of an ambitious project led by the Consell de Mallorca. This initiative aims to increase physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle by creating versatile sports spaces in various outdoor locations throughout the island. With an investment of 5.2 million euros, the Consell has developed 142 new sports facilities in 50 Mallorca municipalities, with calisthenics parks standing out as one of the most innovative proposals.

The 36 calisthenics parks installed by Industrias Agapito feature a variety of designs, including continuous shock-absorbing EPDM flooring and areas with sand flooring. Each park consists of calisthenics sets, such as parallel bars, monkey bars, push-up bars, abdominal benches, and other equipment designed to enhance strength, endurance, and agility. These parks are designed to offer a full-body workout, using body weight and the park’s structures to improve physical fitness.

A key highlight of this project is that all installations include inclusive signage in Braille, adhering to the specifications of Order TMA851/2021 regarding accessibility for public spaces.

The new sports spaces are not only a healthy recreational option, but they also cater to three key age groups: 63 facilities for adults (44.3%), 47 for teenagers (33.1%), and 32 for children (22.6%). This promotes physical activity from childhood to adulthood, offering options for the whole family.

This large-scale project, which will also soon include the installation of 39 biosaludable parks in 21 municipalities across the island, is one of the most ambitious public outdoor sports facility initiatives in Spain in recent years.
